Porcelain figurine from China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), Qianlong Period (1736-1795), depicting a male figure called "Immortal". He holds a mugwort leaf in his right hand, a plant that brings good omens and wards off evil spirits and diseases. The costume has an orange-red background decorated with polychrome floral motifs, contrasting with the green of the lower garment.
